
The Programme Specialist will lead, coordinate, and organize activities for the IOC Intergovernmental Coordination Group for Tsunami Warning and Mitigation Systems in the Pacific Ocean and the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Tsunami and Other Coastal Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions. The incumbent will manage extra-budgetary contributions, coordinate field missions, and provide reports to donors and IOC Governing Bodies. The Programme Specialist will also assist in the implementation of the Tsunami programme, monitor workplans, and prepare documents. The role requires a Master's degree in earth/ocean sciences, disaster management, or a related field and at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
